Canopy Tower, Panama: One flew over the cuckoo’s nest
• 7 juil, 2010 • Catégorie: 巴拿马, 非同寻常的酒店 •Do not expect to see a pissed off Jack Nicholson, but rather a band of happy monkeys jumping from tree to tree. This particular hotel is located at 50 meters above ground, in the heart of the rainforest, well beyond the treetops, where you can almost touch the clouds. Elected by National Geographic Adventure in 2009 among the 50 essential ecolodges, the Canopy Tower is an observation for fauna and flora. Those with vertigo may remember: your room rises to 18 or 28 meters in height according to its category. Quite sober the rooms offer the minimum requirement. It doesn’t matter, those who stay in this unique hotel are not looking for luxury but for authenticity, communion with nature.

So when you go have your breakfast, do not be surprised to see a toucan watching you. Know this, however, the Canopy Tower is primarily an observatory that respects its environment. No way, therefore, to be loud, sometimes you’ll even have the impression of being alone in the world …

More details: binoculars, telescopes, hammocks are available. And because communion with nature does not mean out of touch, the Canopy Tower has the Internet.
Rates: From 85€ the single room up to 137€ the suite.
