In 2005, the American director Michael Bay alarmed the world with the movie The Island, where a flock of clones, including Scarlett Johansson and Ewan McGregor, cherished the hope to be chosen for going on « the island », paradise post ecological disaster. In 2010, the i-Suite hotel, luxury UFO of the Italian design hotel trade, looks like a tourist adaptation of this story. Don’t worry, in spite of its very particular design accentuated by the staff, dressed with white, this anticipation trip does not have anything of  frightening. Instead, it is one of the most exciting experiences of the comeback.

Situated a  few hundred meters from the seafront in Rimini, the i-Suite Hotel offers a pure and simple vision of modern luxury. Behind the building ( which looks like the Seeko’o of Bordeaux )  designed by the local architect Giovanni Quadrelli, you can note a frozen design in which Simone Micheli, Florentine architect, has imagined “The mirror of our state of mind” when it is full of calm and serenity. Far from the apparent sterility of the first glance, the effects and reflections of the mirrors give a certain erotic-smart luminosity. It is the opposite of the coldness suggested by the walls of the lobby in the shape of icebergs.

In some suites, the round bath has pride of place beside the bed, in others it is the bed that offers a perfect roundness. Each of the 54 rooms and suites of the hotel has a balcony and a fireplace. A little extra : Rimini is situated in Emilia Romagna, a region famous for its Po Valley and its mountains “The Apennin”. It is also, for the anecdote, the birthplace of the Italian director Federico Fellini, whose film « La Dolce Vita » received the Golden Palm at Cannes in1960.
